Grassroots Course - November 10 - in Arlington
It is with excitement that we announce that our Club (Arlington SA) will be hosting a first time USSF grassroots course this Fall season for entry level to support our referees and to provide educational and training opportunities in collaboration with Virginia State Referee Association. At Arlington SA, we believe that supporting our referees is highly important in the growth and the development of our players and the game. Additional mentoring opportunities throughout the season may also be available. As a certified/licensed USSF referee, you will have the opportunity to officiate USSF affiliated/travel matches and also have accessibility to higher assignment/competitive ADP and Rec games.
The Course is divided into two portions:
* The accomplishment of 5hr online course, including an online test
* Attend a 4/5 hr field clinic on September 8 with USSF instructors and mentors available at the field.

* Make proper interpretation of the Laws of the game (IFAB),
* Understand the duties of a soccer official,
* Access to additional assignment opportunities within the travel and Rec programs.
At the completion of both the online and field training course, The Virginia State Referee association in affiliation with US Soccer will provide you with a USSF referee badge.
